In-Situ Dynamic Balancing
Unbalance is typically characterized as the uneven distribution of mass around the centerline of a rotor. According to ISO standards, it refers to a condition in which vibratory forces or motions are transmitted to the rotor’s bearings due to the effects of centrifugal forces. The process of rectifying this uneven weight distribution is known as balancing.
The most prevalent form of unbalance is dynamic unbalance, which arises from both static and coupled unbalance, leading to a misalignment of the principal mass axis that is not parallel to the shaft’s centerline.
In-situ balancing is performed by our specialized engineers in accordance with ISO standards 1940-1, which encompasses various techniques such as following:
- Single plane balancing
- Dual plane balancing
- High-speed or turbomachinery balancing (Flexible Rotor Balancing)
